About this program
Education keeps girls safe, opens opportunities and gives women the confidence to lead. This program supports learners of every age, from girls at risk of leaving school to adult women who never had the chance to start.
It also prepares women to take part in local decision-making, so leadership grows from within the community.
Key activities
Girls’ scholarships
Fees and support that help girls stay in school and keep learning.
Literacy and numeracy circles
Community classes where displaced women learn to read, write and work with numbers.
Mentorship networks
Experienced women guide younger women and girls, and civic education prepares them for local decision-making.
Learning materials
Books, uniforms and supplies so cost is not a reason to drop out.
Leadership academies
Training in confidence, public speaking and organizing for emerging women leaders.
